When we undertake to perform gap analysis for an organization, we make sure to present a clear picture of two points and the gap between them in a defined area:

As for surveys – The Academy of the Hebrew Language defines the Hebrew word סקר as “an examination by collecting details to reach a conclusion about the situation in a particular area.” That is, a survey, by its very nature, presents only a single snapshot at a specific point in time – the starting point – without any reference to the path that needs to be taken to reach the destination.
